Frank Gehry’s Marqués de Riscal

Frank O. Gehry, the Pritzker Prize winning architect, is best known for his distinct titanium-roofed buildings that have become tourist attractions around the world. Spain boasts two of his creations: the striking Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and the elegant Marqués de Riscal in the Rioja wine region. The later is a landmark, ultra-luxury hotel that overlooks the vineyards and the town of Elciego, and it is frequented by world-famous celebrities. The following photos of Marqués de Riscal capture the essence of Gehry’s free-form architectural style.
